Die Behandlung der Muttermäler muß die Kenntnis der biologischen Entwicklung dieser Male zur Voraussetzung haben. Bei den Naevuszellnaevi beginnt oft erst nach der Geburt durch „Abtropfung” das Vordringen der Naevuszellen in die tieferen Hautschichten. Auf Grund dieser Tatsache wurde vom Verfasser die Behandlung von ausgedehnten Naevuszellnaevi in die ersten Lebenswochen vorverlegt. Es wird histologisch nachgewiesen, daß nur dann die biologischen Gegebenheiten für eine radikale Entfernung durch oberflächliche Maßnahmen, z. B. Hautfräsverfahren, besser vorhanden sind als später. It is shown that in the case of naevus-cell naevi the naevus cells penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin often only after birth. It is, therefore, felt that the first weeks of life represent the optimal period for removing such naevi. Histological evidence is given for the opinion that it is during this period that superficial measures are most likely to result in complete disappearance. Nevos pigmentarios y su tratamiento Para el tratamiento de los lunares hay que presuponer el conocimiento de la evolución biológica de tales deformidades. En los antojos nevocelulares, el avance de las células por las capas más profundas de la piel no comienza a menudo sino después del nacimiento, precisamente por «goteo». El autor, atendiendo a este hecho, anticipó el tratamiento de extensos antojos nevocelulares, comenzándolo en las primeras semanas de vida. Se demuestra histológicamente que sólo entonces — y mejor que más tarde — se ofrecen las condiciones biológicas de una extirpación radical por medidas superficiales, v. gr. por el procedimiento del fresado de la piel.
