Experimental Production of Increased Intracranial Pressure

Abstract

Injection of 0.2-0.5 cc. of chloroform into the carotid artery produced a marked and sustained elevation of the intracranial pressure. This high level was maintained much the same as a normal level and variations of the arterial pressure produced by drugs were reflected by similar changes in the increased arterial pressure.
