Abstract
The lifetime of the glycoprotein glycans of the rat cerebellum was followed from postnatal 2-3 wk after postnatal injection of labeled glucosamine. A particular class of glycans binding to Concanavalin A synthesized at an early age apparently had a short lifetime. The glycans of the Concanavalin A-binding glycoproteins abundant on the newly formed parallel fibers are rapidly degraded between the 14th-18th postnatal day. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
