We review the present status of CP violation and critically assess the various tests of this symmetry which have been proposed. Future progress in the subject requires new experimental information distinct from the present measurement of the parameter ε. We find that there exist experiments which are potentially feasible, although all such experiments are reasonably difficult. The theoretical analysis of the various CP-odd observables is reviewed and in many cases updated.
