Effects of Ethanol on Amino-Acid Uptake and Utilization by the Liver and Other Organs of Rats

Abstract

Ethanol inhibited the uptake and utilization of amino acids by the rat liver in vitro and inhibited uptake of a-aminoisobutyric acid by the liver, kidney and gut in vivo.
