Aldrin Resistance in Northern Corn Rootworm Adults in Ohio1

Abstract
Northern corn rootworm adults, Diabrotica longi-cornis, from a field in Wyandot County, Ohio, which was treated with soil insecticides for the past 10 years or more, were found to have a 66-fold tolerance for aldrin when compared to a control population. This is the first report from Ohio of chlorinated organic insecticide resistance in this species.
