33S nuclear quadrupole coupling in the rotational spectra of (1000) and (0001) carbonyl sulfide: vibrational excitation in a D.C. glow discharge

Abstract
Rotational spectra have been observed in the vibrational states (1000) and (0001) of the isotopomer 16012C33S in an isotopically normal sample of carbonyl sulfide by incorporating a D.C. glow discharge into a pulsed-nozzle, Fourier-transform microwave spectrometer. The values determined for the 33S nuclear quadrupole coupling constants are χv(33S)=–29.7221(18) and –29.1200(12) MHz for the states (1000) and (0001), respectively.
