Abstract
With the rapid growth of Internet service, the authentication of remote user becomes an important issue for practical application. Recently, the pairings operations on elliptic curve have received considerable attention, and many schemes have been proposed intensively. In this paper, we propose a secure and efficient scheme of remote user authentication based on bilinear pairings. Not only does the proposed scheme achieve the low-computation requirement for smart cards, but also it can construct the complete authentication scheme, including mutual authentication and session key agreement. Moreover, our scheme uses nonce to solve the problem of time synchronization. Our scheme also analyzes the security and compares the properties with other schemes. Keywords
