Abstract
Purification of solvents and sulfuric acid used in the quantitative detn. of estrogen fluorescence is descr. Based on the fluorescence spectra of crystalline estrone, estradiol-17 beta and estriol, conditions were defined for the total and differential measurement of estrogen mixtures. At 470 m[mu] estrone and estradiol-17 beta have almost equal fluorescence, while at 440 m[mu] estradiol-17 beta has 10 times the fluorescence of estrone or estriol. Criteria for selection of satisfactory filter systems are outlined. Keywords
