Abstract
Pfeifer in 1892 first reported the disease now known as relapsing febrile nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis, or Weber-Christian disease. Miller and Kritzler 2 in 1943 reviewed the clinical and pathologic findings in this disease with a review of 26 cases reported up to that date, adding a case report including autopsy findings. Since then V. de P. Larkin, De Sanctis and Margulis reported another case and also reviewed the subject. Another case was reported by Spain and Foley in 1944. Still another case was reported by Friedman in January 1945. In all 30 more or less typical cases of nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis have been reported. My purpose in this paper is to report a case of panniculitis treated with penicillin with apparent cure. Sulfonamides have been used in some of the cases reported with equivocal results.
