Aminoacid Composition of Macroglobulins in Four Cases of Macroglobulinemia

Abstract
Four cases of macroglobulinemia are characterized as to their clinical symptoms, hematological findings, electrophoretic patterns of serumproteins, ultra centrifugal studies and the aminoacid composition of the macroglobulins after isolation by preparative paper-electrophoresis. Two of these macroglobulins show a mobility in the electrical field which is comparable to beta-1-globulin and 2 show a mobility which is equal to normal gamma-globulin. The aminoacid composition of the macroglobulins is compared with that of normal globulin-fractions.
