Abstract
A patient with scurvy excreted large quantities of tyrosyl derivatives when given 10 g. of L-tyrosine orally daily. The excretion was not decreased by intramusc. admn. of 6 mg. of citrovorum factor (CF) daily for 5 days, but was promptly corrected by 1 g. of ascorbic acid orally per day. In the doses indicated, CF did not alter the abnormal capillary fragility in this patient nor in another scorbutic patient who received 1 mg. of CF intramusc. daily for 10 days.
