STUDIES ON THE GROWTH OF MYCOBACTERIA .1. THE OCCURRENCE OF ARITHMETIC LINEAR GROWTH

Abstract
The growth of 15 strains of Mycobacterium turbidimetrically was studied. A long arithmetic linear growth phase directly follows the logarithmic phase in all strains. The possible usefulness of the arithmetic linear growth phase as a quantitative tool for growth studies is discussed.
