Extensive Dermatitis due to Warfarin Sodium (Coumadin)

Abstract
The development of severe cutaneous and oral lesions following the therapeutic administration of 3-(alpha-acetonylbenzyl)-4-hydroxy-coumarin sodium in a 63-year-old male with extensive vascular thrombosis, was controlled only after the administration of prednisolone for 5 days. The administration of another chemically related anticoagulant, bishydroxycoumarin, was tolerated without allergic manifestations.
