Abstract
Stimulated Brillouin scattering of collimated ruby-laser beams in such nonfocusing liquids as -hexane, methanol, and carbon tetrachloride is investigated. It is found that the experimental data obtained agree well with the calculated results obtained on the basis of a simple steady-state theory.
