Abstract
The band structure in the monoclinic beta phase of gallium has been calculated by the pseudopotential method. Good agreement between predicted and experimentally observed peaks in the optical spectrum was obtained by using the atomic form factors for gallium calculated by Appapillai and Williams (see abstr. A36507 of 1973).Keywords
