New Circuit for the Measurement of Very Short Delays

Abstract
A circuit for the measurement of time intervals down to 10−10 sec is described. The circuit works on the principle of transforming the delay τ to be measured into a flat‐topped signal whose amplitude is proportional to τ, and whose length is independent of τ and controllable at will within wide limits (up to about 100 μsec). The precision and stability of the circuit are discussed.
