Abstract
The excess resistivity, , and resistivity per unit stored energy, , associated with dislocations, vacancies, and interstitials are briefly reviewed, and the same quantities are calculated for clustered vacancies. For clusters of more than one hundred vacancies, which seem to exist at room temperature in cold-worked or bombarded copper, is larger by factors of about 3, 8, and several hundred than the corresponding ratios for vacancies, interstitials, and dislocations.
