Abstract
We have studied the extremal areas and cyclotron effective masses in gold using the de Haas-van Alphen effect. The experimental data have been inverted to obtain the Fermi radius and velocity at any point of the Fermi surface. The inversion techniques are described and some results on other quantities of experimental interest are also presented. Keywords
