Abstract
Using the known steady‐state solution for transmission of a plane wave normally incident on a magneto‐ionic half‐space, the time‐dependent waveforms for an impulsive incident field are calculated by use of a numerical inverse Fourier transform. Curves are presented which show the dependence of the parallel and cross‐polarized components on the static magnetic field and the distance from the interface.
