Abstract
High T c superconductor in the system Y-Ba-Cu-O was obtained as a single phase. Its composition was determined to be YBa2Cu3O y . The compound is practically stoichiometric in regard to the Y-Ba-Cu ratio, the homogeneity range regarding the Y/Ba ratio, if any, being very small. The lattice image of the compound obtained by electron microscopy showed clearly that 3-c structure comes from the ordering of Y and Ba ions located in the A-site of perovskite-related structure.Keywords
