Abstract
The characteristic fluorescent patterns of vitamin B6 compounds were measured by spectrophotofluorometry in 0.1 [image] phosphate buffer of pH 6.75 before and after treatment with H2O2 and UV light. These findings were utilized in the identification of the B6 content of acetone extracts of standard solutions and whole blood. Curves of the fluorescence obtained before and after pyridoxine ingestion in man are presented. Keywords
