Abstract
The excretion of neutral 17-ketosteroids in the urine of 11 patients ranged from 2.8 mg.-857 mg./24 hrs. 8 of the patients had functioning adrenal cortical tumors and 3 were feminine pseudohermaphrodites who had adrenal cortical hyperplasia. 2 infants having tumors excreted comparatively slight amts. of 17- ketosteroids, and 1 of the patients with pseudohermaphroditism excreted normal amts. All of the others excreted abnormally large amts. Patients having functioning adrenal tumors do not always excrete more total 17-ketosteroids than patients having cortical hyperplasia. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
