Abstract
Aldehydic peptides in which the C terminal residue is leucinal or phenylalaninal were synthesized. These compounds exhibited potent inhibition of renin activity and appeared to be precursors of transition state analogues for renin-catalysed amide bond hydrolysisKeywords
