Abstract
For 294 white families, almost all Canadian, a few American, the Xg blood group gene frequencies were calculated to be Xga .6475, Xg .3525. Statistically the distribution of the mating types did not differ significantly from expectation for a random sample, nor did the phenotypes of the 797 children differ from expectation save for 1 Xg(a+) boy, child of [male] Xg(a+) [female] Xg(a-) mating. The explanation of this anomaly, which has been reported by others in 2 families, is unknown. Keywords
