Abstract
Diets containing NaCl in amts. of 1.32, 2.59 and 5.06% of the food mixture were fed to albino rats and the effect was noted up to one yr. of age. In other short time studies higher levels were used. No differences in growth or apparent well-being appeared until the arat. reached about 9%, although there was possible kidney damage at about 5%.Keywords
