Abstract
A method is presented for the rapid determination of arginase with a minimum of operations and equipment. The activity of as little as 20 [mu]g of whole liver can be determined. The arginine remaining after enzymatic hydrolysis is estimated by a quantitative modification of the Sakaguchi reaction. Studies are presented concerning substrate concentration, pH optimum, and linearity of the enzyme concentration curve. Keywords
