Abstract
The author discusses the theory of hypnotism and the possibility of employing it for experimental purposes in the class-room. He distinguishes between sleeping and waking hypnosis, justifying his use of the latter term with a wealth of historical and contemporary evidence. He reports the success of class experiments in both types of hypnosis, particularly the latter which he describes minutely. From Psych Bulletin 21:12:01185.
