Abstract
The domain pattern formation process of an epitaxialgarnetfilm in an arbitrarily oriented field has been investigated. Depending on the orientation of the field, a bubble array or stripe domains aligned in various directions appeared. A sixfold symmetry in the sample plane was observed. The behavior of the stripe domains in an arbitrarily oriented field was theoretically described, and an explanation was given to the bubble formation process. Based on the experimental and theoretical results, some applications of these properties will be briefly discussed. Keywords
