Abstract
As in most other mycorrhiza-forming Hymenomycetes, germinating spores have never been observed for this species. Spores were able to germinate on agar plates containing both a colony of Rhodotorula glutinis and activated charcoal. Germination always began at the edge of the Rhodotorula colony. Germination occurred without any appreciable swelling of the spore. Usually only 1 germ tube was produced. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
