Abstract
The amt. of 1:2:5:6 dibenzanthracene present in the breast muscle of fowls injected with fatty solns. of this substance, as shown by spectrographic analysis, falls off rapidly from the time of injection, and, after a few days, decreases to less than 1/10 the original amt. The time for disappearance is short compared with that required for clinical or histologic evidence of a malignant change. No sign of 1:2:5:6 dibenzanthracene was found in the livers of any of the birds examined.
