Abstract
Thrombin is obtained from human blood after coagulation with human milk thromboplastin and CaCl2 by ethyl alcohol precipitation. The thrombin is mixed during its prepn. with acacia. The acacia in the final product is used to prevent the diffusion of thrombin from an area of damaged tissue when the substance is applied to a wound. The prepn. is stable because antithrombin is destroyed, during alcohol precipitation. Keywords
