Abstract
A method is presented by which photo‐acoustic spectroscopy of solids may be performed. Criteria for the light sources, sample chambers, and data acquisition systems are discussed. The dependence of the photo‐acoustic signal on various experimental parameters is explored, and some of the applications of this new technique are discussed. Keywords
