Temperature-Dependent Electric Quadrupole Interaction ofZn67in Zinc Metal

Abstract
By means of time-differential observation of perturbed angular distributions of γ radiation following the nuclear reaction Zn66(d, p),, the electric quadrupole interaction frequency of the isomeric 92+ state of Zn67 in zinc metal has been measured as a function of temperature. At room temperature the frequency was determined to be e2qQh=45.5(4) MHz. The temperature dependence is compared with previous results for Cd111 in cadmium.
