Abstract
Chicken anemia agent (CAA) produced anemia in chicks of 4 strains obtained from specific-pathogen-free (SPF) flocks, but not in chicks from 1 SPF flock or chicks of 6 conventional strains maintained to produce commercial chicks. The difference in susceptibility of chicks to CAA was closely related to maternal antibody against CAA.Keywords
