Abstract
The amount of voluntary running by 40 male albino rats was compared under four conditions: after 0, 5, 24, and 46 1/2 hours of prior confinement in very small cages. Amount of running was a monotonic increasing function of hours of prior confinement, with the averaged function nearly linear but slightly sigmoid. Keywords
