Abstract
Integrated management is becoming increasingly important to meet public demands for wildlife habitat and forest industry requirements for timber. An example of the integration of timber production with the maintenance of mule deer winter range is presented, taken from the interior of British Columbia. A special selection system featuring low volume partial cutting is described and its implications to forest management discussed. Key words: integrated management, Odocoileus hemionus, mule deer, winter range logging, partial cutting, selection system. Keywords
