Abstract
Eighteen compounds containing the 3, 3-methlenedioxyphenyl group were tested for inhibition of development against Musca domestica, L. All but 4 inhibited development at low cones. They were equally effective against insecticide-resistant and -susceptible flies. There was evidence that this chemical group is a toxophore. No relationship between inhibition and synergism was found.
