Abstract
Based upon gross dissection of 20 newborn and 3 adult humans, the author concludes that the nerves to the kidney are derived from the following sources The coeliac plexus, the thoracic and lumbar splanchnic nerves, the upper part of the intermesenteric nerves, and the lower ends of these same nerves and/or from the superior hypogastric plexus (presacral nerve). Further details are given. Keywords
