Abstract
The basal metabolic rate of vitamin B6-deficient rats was found not to be different from that of pair-fed controls, though lower than that of ad libitum-fed controls. Attempts to alter the basal metabolic rate either by the administration of thiouracil or by thyroidectomy did not cause definite alterations in the syndrome of vitamin B6 deficiency. Keywords
