Oral contraceptives and hepatocellular carcinoma
- 15 January 1982
Abstract
A 23-year-old woman was seen with an acute hemoperitoneum caused by rupture of a hepatocellular carcinoma. She died two years after hepatic artery ligation. The patient had been taking oral contraceptives for periods of one year and ten months, separated by a pregnancy. The association between oral contraceptive steroids and hepatocellular carcinoma is briefly reviewed. This publication has 30 references indexed in Scilit:
