Lifetimes of the Levels at 265 and 280 keV inAs75

Abstract
The centrifuge technique has been applied to observe resonance fluorescence from the levels at 265 and 280 keV in As75. Using a Li-drifted germanium detector, it became possible to separate the two resonance lines completely. The resulting mean lifetimes are τ265=(1.71±0.10)×1011 sec and τ280=(4.02±0.30)×1010 sec. The angular distributions of the resonantly scattered radiations yielded M1E2 mixing ratios of δ265=(0.01±0.04) and δ280=(0.42±0.08), in agreement with previous results.
