Abstract
From a variety of human malignant neoplasms it is possible to prepare by acid extraction and chromatography a fraction with peak “antigenic” activity in the macrophage electrophoretic mobility (MEM) test for cancer. The activity is related to the presence of tryptophan. An analysis of the most active material so far prepared suggests important differences from myelin basic protein and from histones.
