Abstract
In 95 exps. the neutral chloride concns. of the non-acid secretions of the stomach and the mixed duodenal secretions were about the same, the av. values ranging 358-307 mgm. per 100 cc. When the non-acid secretions of the stomach or the duodenal secretions are mixed with [image]/10 HC1, only about 1/3 of the neutral chloride fraction represents neutralized HCl. It is obviously erroneous to consider the total neutral chloride in gastric contents as representing neutralized HC1.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
