Infrared Spectrum of SOF2

Abstract
An investigation of the infrared spectrum of gaseous thionyl fluoride results in the following fundamental assignment: ν1(a)=1333 cm−1,  ν2(a)=808 cm−1,  ν3(a)=530 cm−1. ν4(a)=(410) cm−1,  ν5(a′′)=748 cm−1,  ν6(a′′)=390 cm−1. Thermodynamic functions for SOF2 are calculated with the usual assumptions.
