Abstract
In this first of a series of articles on photoproduction processes, we write down the formulas for all the observables for - and -meson photoproduction processes in terms of the Regge parameters for the trajectories that can be exchanged in the channel. Special consideration is given to the simplification of these formulas when polarized photon beams are used and special choices of the polarization angle are chosen. We are careful to take into account all the conspiracy relations and kinematic factors.
