Abstract
The total np cross section at 14.10±0.05 Mev is calculated for several choices of the np singlet potential well parameters for each of the potential well shapes: square, exponential, and Yukawa. These calculations are compared with the experimental result for the cross section at this energy, σtotal=0.689±0.005 barn. Limits on the values of the effective range, the intrinsic range, and the depth of the singlet potential are obtained for each well shape
