Abstract
The presence in yeast of an antithyrotoxic factor, which has been previously reported, has been confirmed in these studies. Liver has been found to be a better source of the antithyrotoxic material than yeast. This factor is not one of the known B vitamins. It is heat stable and under the experimental conditions employed is not destroyed by autoclaving in acid or alkaline solution. Calcium pantothenate and inositol did not exert an antithyrotoxic effect when fed at very high levels in a purified ration. Keywords
