Abstract
Reaction differences of 3 strains of mice after sensitization by Hemophilus pertussis vaccine were described. Carworth Farms mice, strain CFW, and 2 strains from Millerton Farms, hybrids C-58 F-1 and Princeton, were used. All 3 strains, after vaccination with H. pertussis vaccine, developed hypersensitivity to H. pertussis nucleoprotein while only the CFW strain became sensitive to histamine. Using these 3 strains of mice it was possible to show that anaphylactic sensitivity is not always followed by increased sensitivity to histamine.
