Urinary Excretion of Phosphate Following the Injection of Sodium p-Aminohippurate

Abstract
Summary The urinary excretion of phosphate is increased by the injection of sodium p-aminohippurate in man. The extent of the phosphaturia tends to vary directly with the plasma PAH level. At high PAH levels, the amount of phosphate excreted averages 26%percnt; of that filtered, a proportion comparable in magnitude to that reported after injection of parathyroid hormone.
